NEWS RELEASE

For Immediate Release: June 6, 2006

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

AREVA Resources Canada Inc. to become legal name of COGEMA Resources Inc.

SASKATOON – Effective immediately, AREVA Resources Canada Inc. will replace
COGEMA Resources Inc. as the legal name of the Canadian mining arm of the AREVA group of companies. This does not represent a change in ownership, merely a change of name to bring AREVA’s global brand to a company that has operated in Saskatchewan for more than 30 years.

“By adopting AREVA Resources Canada Inc. as our operating name, our Saskatchewan based operations are now connected to the global efforts of a leader in clean, safe energy,” said Donald Ching, President and CEO of AREVA Resources Canada Inc. “Our operations provide the raw fuel for nuclear power generation around the world. Now our name will be synonymous with those efforts.”

"This is a change that is visible on the surface, but will not affect the operating practices or philosophies that provide the foundation for our company," said Ching. "We will continue to operate with the same commitment to safe, sustainable and responsible mining practices that have become a hallmark of our company and all of AREVA's operations."

The AREVA group is the world leader in nuclear energy and the only company to cover all industrial activities in this field. Our mission is to provide advanced, high-quality products and services that help our customers generate and transport electricity in a cleaner, safer and more economical manner.
