Occupational Fatality at the
Cluff Lake Mine
A fatality occurred at the Cluff Lake minesite in Northern Saskatchewan
at approximately 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. The worker was electrocuted
while working on a transformer located on surface at the site. The
worker was employed by a company providing contract services to
the owner, COGEMA Resources Inc.
RCMP and Provincial Mine Inspectors are currently on route to
the site to investigate.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification
of next of kin.
The Cluff Lake minesite is located 720 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
